We’re thrilled to celebrate Motlatso Mabutla, one of our Grade 9 learners, for securing second place in the Mini Chefs Academy Cooking Competition!
Held at Hirsch's Centurion on Saturday, 22 February 2025, this exciting event (hosted by Mini Chefs Academy, one of Teneo's extramural partners) challenged young chefs to create their own signature pizza from scratch. With six talented learners competing for the top spot, the kitchen was buzzing with excitement, creativity and skill!
Motlatso impressed the judges with her excellent technique and originality. Her hard work and passion earned her a well-deserved place among the top competitors!
Our very own Nadia Opperman, Teneo’s Grade 10 to 12 IEB Consumer Studies teacher, attended the event to support our learners and witness their culinary talents in action. It was a fantastic opportunity for aspiring chefs to gain real-world experience in a competitive setting! A huge congratulations to Motlatso and all our young chefs who participated – your talent and dedication were truly inspiring!
