How we teach the British International Curriculum

We understand that most students (and parents) have a similar goal for high school – to achieve the A Level results they need, that will propel them forward into their further education or the career they want.

We prioritise better academic results for every child. This means whether they’re struggling or soaring, our teachers can meet them where they’re at, and give them the support and guidance they need, with regular contact.

Whichever format you choose, all have the same academic integrity, and your child will learn from the same qualified and SACE-registered teachers. Our qualified teachers set and mark all assessments, tests and exams, and all curriculums are fully accredited.

FORMAT One

Recorded

Watch pre-recorded lessons taught by qualified teachers at a time you choose to stay on track with your daily coursework.

FORMAT Two

Live + Recorded

Participate in scheduled live lessons taught by qualified teachers according to your daily timetable, and for the other half of the day’s coursework watch pre-recorded lessons in your own time to stay on track. All live lessons are recorded to revisit later.

Curriculums & Examination Boards

We offer the Pearson Edexcel curriculum for our Year 8 – A Level students.

For the British International curriculum we offer Pearson Edexcel which is accredited with the British Council.

AS level international certification is the equivalent of the National Senior Certificate and can be converted by the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA).

How is Teneo different from other online schools?

School is available in three different formats: Recorded, Live + Recorded, and Live.

Can you complete your South African National Senior Certificate with Teneo Online School?

Yes. You have the option to choose between two different examination boards – SACAI or the IEB – in order to complete your Matric.

After I complete my Matric with Teneo, will I be able to apply to South African tertiary institutions for further studies?

Yes, once you successfully complete your Matric certification, you may apply to tertiary institutions in South Africa and abroad.
